Moments where women gather quietly in a room and, for the first time in a long time, feel seen. Moments where stories once carried in silence are finally spoken aloud. Moments where laughter, tears, culture, healing, and leadership all exist together in the same space.
Hmong Women Lead was built from those moments.
Looking Back:
A Foundation of Courage & Community
What began as a vision to create space for Hmong women to connect, heal, and lead has grown into something far greater than an event or organization. It has become a living community rooted in courage, cultural identity, and collective care.
As we look back, we honor every woman who showed up — even when it was difficult. Every speaker who shared wisdom. Every volunteer who gave their time. Every participant who entered our spaces carrying both strength and pain. Every elder, mother, daughter, advocate, survivor, healer, organizer, and leader who reminded us that our stories matter.
We have witnessed:
Women rediscover their voices. Healing happen in conversations between strangers who suddenly no longer felt alone. Women step into leadership, advocacy, entrepreneurship, storytelling, education, and community-building in ways many never imagined possible for themselves.
And through it all, one truth has remained clear: When Hmong women are supported, entire communities grow stronger.
This journey has never been about perfection. It has been about showing up for one another — with honesty, compassion, resilience, and hope.
We honor the generations before us who carried unimaginable burdens so that we could stand where we are today. We honor the sacrifices made in silence, the traditions preserved through hardship, and the wisdom passed down through family and community. Because of them, we continue forward.

The future of Hmong Women Lead is not simply about hosting events. It is about building lasting impact. It is about creating spaces where women feel empowered to lead authentically while remaining deeply connected to culture, community, and healing.
